With Thanksgiving and Christmas rapidly approaching, its very important for me to teach the girls that its not just about presents and toys but that these holidays are more about loving others and sharing with them out of our abundance. So today we made some gifts for our neighbors...our Thanksgiving blessing mix.

Abby was really good at portioning it out but I think what the girls loved the most was going door to door to share our treats with our neighbors.
I also wanted the girls to think more globally so we also participated in Operation Christmas Child, an organization that sends shoeboxes filled with treats to needy children around the world. The girls loved picking out little trinkets and toiletries to send to other little girls who wouldn't have anything for Christmas without them.
It was so sweet to see how excited the girls were to make these boxes. They prayed for the little girls that would receive them and then we dropped them off at church. It was a wonderful day.
