7 Months Old

My baby is 7 months old today!!! I just can't believe it and yesterday for the very first time she started saying "mama"! Now I know she doesn't realize what she's saying but it was so sweet to hear her little voice saying my name. She is really growing up so quickly. She is still very easy-going and absolutely adores her sister. She loves mashed potato and can also hold her own bottle (on the rare occasion I give her one). She is also starting to get her teeth and therefore loves hard chewable toys...her favorite is the tv remote control. Lissie is a sweet little girl and we are really enjoying watching her grow.

Happy Easter!!!

We hope you are all having a very blessed Easter. Praise God that He sent His only Son to die on the cross and rise again so that my sins and yours could be forgiven.

I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

Chuga-chuga, Chuga-chuga, Choo-choo!!!

Yesterday, after going to free play at My Gym, we saw a train on the way home. In the spirit of spontaneity, we chased it down and actually got ahead of it. We found a dirt road where we could get out of the car and stand near the tracks as the train went by. It was so much fun and Abby loved it although she was a tad nervous. The conductor even waved to her and tooted his horn. What a fun experience. (Disclaimer: this video is very loud)

Sit-A-Tummy

One of the cutest things Abby does is gets everyone to lay on the floor and play with her. Who could refuse a sweet little voice saying "sit-a-tummy and play toys." The picture below was taken at Thanksgiving. Granny, Grandpa and Uncle Craigy all sat on their tummy's in Granny's kitchen to play toys with Abby. She really has them all wrapped around her little finger:)

Lissie

Its been an interesting couple of weeks with Lissie lately. We have discovered some new and interesting things about her. For instance, when she is sick, she is very unhappy and needs constant comfort. She is also not one to sit back and fade into the background. When Lissie wants attention, you will know it:) She has a very quirky sense of humor as well. The other morning after her feeding, I was putting her back into bed. She immediately rolled over, grabbed her teddy blankie, pulled it over her face and here's the kicker, she laughed out loud. I have no idea what was so funny about her blankie or going to bed but it was adorable. She also has an uncanny ability to make her big sister crack up hysterically just by looking at her. I'm not sure what this will mean for our future with our little Lissie but I am definitely looking forward to the ride.

My Gym

One of Abby's favorite things to do each week is attend her My Gym class. She absolutely loves it and can't wait to get there each week. When we first tried it out the following week she was in tears because we weren't going again to "Abby's gym" for another 2 weeks. It was so bad that I had to sign her up at a different gym that was open sooner than the one closest to us. Below are some pictures of her at "Abby's gym" Please forgive the fuzziness as she is rarely still enough to take a decent picture.

Abby jumping on the trampoline. Her favorite piece of equipment at the moment.

Abby playing in the ball pit. For the first few weeks this was her favorite place to play.

Every week they have a special swing for the kids. This is the hot dog swing.

Abby sliding into the ball pit. Enjoying herself on the dolphin swing.

Lately

Our family has been sick lately. Abby has been fighting a cold since Sunday. Lissie has had a fever and congestion since Tuesday and to top it all off Mike has been in terrible pain from gout. Anyhow, through all of this there have been some very cute moments. Abby has been coming up with some really adorable and funny things lately. The other day she asked me to get her some crackers. As I rushed to serve my little angel she decided that she needed some milky as well. I immediately obeyed to which she said "cwackers and milky, that's all I need". Then at dinner with Granny and Grandpa on Sunday night, Granny used a naughty word. Mommy said "Granny!!!!" Granny's reply "don't worry, she's not paying any attention at all". Abby speaks up "Abby paying no 'tention at all". And finally, while watching our nephews on Wed. night, Abby suddenly went missing. Daddy went looking for her all over the house, the living room, dining room, our room etc. He finally found her, alone, in her room, in the dark, in her bed under the covers with her bunny blanket over her face. Daddy flips on the light and hears the naughtiest little laugh as Abby emerges with Lissie's stolen pacifier in her mouth! At least she remembered the rule that we only get paci's in bed!!!

Some Pictures

We LOVE The Zoo!!!

This year for Christmas, Granny and Grandpa gave us the best gift ever..... a zoo membership. We get to go to the zoo now whenever we want. Abby loves it most of all because she's really into all of the animals. At the moment her favorites are the lions, monkeys and the bears. It is so much fun to be able to go to the zoo and play out in the sunshine. Thank you so much Granny and Grandpa!

Lissie had fun too although she really doesn't get to see the animals.
