Lissie Loves Jingle Bellie

I'm not sure what the fascination is with Jingle, but both of my girls can't get enough of her. She is the first one Lissie looks for when we go to Gigi's house and often the only one she wants to kiss goodbye!

Some Cute Randomness

Abby LOVES Jingle Bell and will do anything to be near her!
Lissie loves her Starbucks! Look at the cute little hairstyle. This was the first time we tried putting it up.
The girls love each other. They always want to be close. Unfortunately, a sweet scene like this inevitably leads to crying or fighting.

Lissie Reading to her baby.

Lissie is just too cute when she plays "mommy" to her babies. She reads to them, feeds them and most recently, puts them in time-out!

Little Lissie

Lissie passed out on the way home from church and pretty much stayed that way when we got her home. Poor baby was exhasuted. You have to look closely at this one. Lissie has just eaten a quarter of a Hershey kiss and it is all over her face and jeans!

Covered in peanut butter. I'm not sure why she always gets messiest when she's wearing this sweater:)

Pure Naughtiness

It was too quiet the other day so I went looking for the girls. This is what I found.....both of them in the bathroom each with a bar of soap drawing on the mirror. At least they found a clean way to entertain themselves!!!

Swim Lessons

Abby started swim lessons! Of course, her very first lesson was on the day when we were all caught off guard by a huge snow storm. It took us over an hour to drive 11 miles to the pool!!! It was totally worth it though to see this...

Isn't she too adorable in her little swim cap and goggles!
Abby gets to take lessons with her best friend Eli. Here they are waiting for their instructor to call them.
Abby spent most of her lesson with her tongue out! She seemed to have a lot of fun though and was very excited to go back.
Fortunately, for Abby, they make the parents watch from the lobby. It turns out that I am a horrible stage mom and want to be involved with everything. I can't help myself. Even through the glass I'm telling her to put her head down. Try again to blow those bubbles. Come on you can do it. You love the water and so on. Its a good thing its sound proof. I'm sure the other mothers think I'm insane! We did have fun though and Lissie couldn't get enough of watching her big sister in the pool.

The Children's Museum

We got to go to the Children's Museum with Gigi on the 9th. The girls absolutely loved it. There was so much to do and they were constantly entertained. Lissie's favorite place by far was the foam hollowed out log in the little kids play area. She went in and out of there at least fifty times!
Abby really enjoyed the quality time reading with Gigi.
They had a life size doll house, a play vegetable garden and even an apothecary!
Of course, the girls favorite part was the painting. Mommy NEVER lets them paint at home!
Abby creating her masterpiece.
Abby's second favorite place was the grocery store. She loves to push the cart around and check out like a grown-up.
Lissie even got into the action and stole the little boy's cart. Don't worry, I made her give it back:)
They also got to try their hands at basketball. Abby got pretty close to the basket.
Lissie tried too.
They both enjoyed playing with all of the train sets.
We even got a chance to attend storytime. Well Abby and I listened to the story....
Gigi spent the whole time walking up and down the bleachers with Lissie.
We had a wonderful time and Abby still talks about it. Thank you so much Gigi for lots of fun.

Things I love about my girls.......

I love how much they love to read. They read to their babies and Abby reads to Lissie. I have often found them in Lissie's room with all of her books on the floor reading together. It really is adorable.
I love Sonic picnics with family. Every time we eat together Abby calls it a picnic and Sonic is one of her favorites. The other thing I love is that tonight, at dinner, Lissie folded her hands and said "amen" encouraging us to pray before eating.
I love that my girls grandmothers LOVE to spend time with them. Here is Granny making a gingerbread house with Abby. I don't have a picture but Gigi tried to make Christmas cookies with the girls too. Of course, the attention span wasn't long enough to make it to the baking part:)
I love how much Abby loves her little cousin Porter. She couldn't get enough of him!
I love these naughty faces and the fact that Lissie has to have her feet up whenever she can.
I love that Lissie can't resist an open cupboard.
I really love three little cousins in the tub!
I love that my girls adore their Mac.

And Lissie loves her fake dog, Biscuit. All dogs get lots and lots of hugs.

I also love the way Lissie says hippo. It sounds like appo. She also gives the best kisses. She even makes the perfect kissy noise. She will also kiss her owies better. Too cute.

Good Friends!!!

You know you have a good friend when they invite you over to their home the day after they return from vacation to let your children fingerpaint all morning!!! Well, we wanted them to be entertained all morning but the painting only lasted about ten minutes. It took longer to clean up the mess than it took them to make it.

Thank you for being such a good friend, Karen!

Bowling in the Dark

The Saturday after New Year's we went bowling with Granny and Papa. We all had a blast especially the girls. While technically the adults were the ones bowling we all let the little ones take a turn now and then. Abby loved it. After each turn she would sit and watch her ball slowly go down the alley.

Lissie took a couple of turns as well and giggled the whole time she watched the ball.

Who knew that bowling could make the girls so happy?

After a while, Abby got tired of sitting to watch her ball and she lay down instead.

At the very end of our time there, they turned out all of the lights and put on the black lights and disco balls. Abby was nervous at first but then really got into it. She started dancing and jumping around. It was adorable. For at least three days afterwards she kept asking when we could go bowling in the dark again!

More Memories

We went to the mall and the girls had a blast playing at Pottery Barn Kids in their little girlie section. I wish we could have that setup at home for them!!!
A backwards cap and glasses....could she be any cuter?!?!?!
Abby decided to dress herself. Please note the skirt and the jeans. This has become one of her new favorite outfits.
After showers I decided to put Lissie on the counter to watch me dry my hair. She promptly moved herself into my sink. Then Abby wanted up too. It was just too cute not to photograph.
Abby and her Papa waiting for the rest of us to get ready to leave.
We spent a lot of time eating while Craig and Barbie were visiting and of course, what trip would be complete without a visit or 10 to Costco or Sam's Club for a hotdog and Diet Coke?!
I just loved this picture of Craig and little Porter.
