This time they were a little hard to find but after taking a dirt road we found them. As you can tell, Abby was very happy!
This herd was the females and their babies.
Once in Evergreen we headed to the lake and went for a nice, LONG walk.
As most of you know, we love the meanings of our girls names. Abigail means Joy and Alisa means Happiness. This blog is a way for us to make sure we remember every blessing with them and also for our family to keep up with us. We hope you enjoy.

Here's Abby checking out some ducks.
Grandpa and his girls.
The dam waterfall was awesome. Lissie liked it so much she almost slid right down it from the top of those stairs on the right. She attempted to climb over the railing while we weren't watching!

She had a blast! Although she was a tad concerned when the firefighter's mascot, a parrot, bit Mommy's finger. Don't worry, I survived.
She also LOVED the cake.
We also found out that Abby has an affinity for tee ball.

We spent most of our time at the petting zoo. The girls were a little timid to start but warmed up quickly!
There were goats, lambs, pigs, a pony and even a baby cow.
Here is Lissie with her favorite goat, Annabelle.

The drive home was long. Lissie fell asleep early and napped for about a half an hour.
Abby actually conked out too.
I'd like to say the drive home was as easy and pleasant as the drive there but that would be a lie. It was long, very long and on the last half an hour as I was desperately trying to get back, I was pulled over for my very first traffic ticket! Other than that though, it was a wondeful trip and the girls and I had a great time in the mountains. Thank you so much John and Karen for letting us join your family.

After lunch it warmed up a bit so we went and played on the very cool playground. The children spent most of their time on the swings! Abby loved the big girl swing until she fell off. Poor baby got quite the bruise on her back.
Look how high Eli is flying.
Lissie loved her swing too and was very upset when we decided we had to get off and head home before the next downpour!

It was finally nice enough this evening to have a campfire and make S'mores
The children all loved getting to toast their own marshmallows.
Of course, eating the final product wasn't bad either!

The girls around the campfire.
Abby made a game out of chasing the smoke. It was great til it got in her eyes. Poor baby.
This night, Abby passed out on the couch while I was waiting for Lissie to fall asleep. Isn't she adorable?

The setting was very pretty so I took the opportunity to take some portraits of my beautiful girls.
Lissie loves to say "cheese" and there are now very few pictures with her that she doesn't have this expression on her face.
Mommy and her girls.
Both girls actually took naps this afternoon! It was great. When they woke up though it was raining so we decided to have some craft time. They got to play with clay, pipe cleaners and Abby even cut with scissors.Posted by Shannon at 3:11 PM 0 comments

The kids are all doing so well in their class. Miss Liz, the one in the pink wetsuit, is their teacher and they are learning how to scissor kick, blow bubbles and scoop. Abby is very good at going under water and scooping. She is a little timid though when it comes to jumping into the pool. She's having a blast and we are so proud of how far she's come.
After lessons the kids go to the locker rooms to change....or play in the lockers! There was at least one time when I thought I'd lost Lissie only to find her in the locker!
After swimming if its nice weather we like to take the kiddos to the park so that the little ones who didn't get to swim can also have some fun! On this day, Miss Karen brought yummy popsicles. The girls LOVED them!
