Family Picture.

Lissie came home the other day from school needing a family picture to take back with her. Of course, I waited til the last minute to see if we had one and, of course, we didn't. Thanks to digital cameras, I have NO printed pictures anymore. In addition to that, it seems we never take family photos anymore. I had to call Craig over to take these shots quickly so that I could run and get them developed before school the next morning. These were the cutest ones out of 45 shots.

Lissie's 3rd Birthday Party

Abby enjoying cake with Gigi.

Present time! Needless to say my little girl got spoiled rotten!

She got a video game just like her big sister.

And a tennis racket. Now she can start practicing at the park. Hopefully she takes after Craig or Granny and not her mommy!

Lissie had a great party. Its hard to believe my baby is already three!

Lissie's 3rd Birthday Party

The little girls loved dressing up like fairies. Aren't they adorable?!

Playing on the trampoline.

Abby and Auntie Barbie

Granny and Gigi enjoying the party.

Lissie's 3rd Birthday Party

I know its fuzzy but I LOVE this shot. All the fairies had so much fun on the trampoline.

Cake time!

One of Lissie's favorite things to do it suck the frosting off the candles.

Porter really enjoyed the frosting as well!

Lissie's 3rd Birthday Party

Lissie wanted a TinkerBell cake for her birthday so I attempted to make a pink toadstool with the fairies on it.

She also wanted "pupcakes."

Lissie's 3rd Birthday Party!

Before all the guests came, we let the girls play with the balloons. Look at Abby's curls!!!

Lulu loved her pressie from Auntie Heather.

Lissie got a big girl bike from Mommy and Daddy for her birthday.

I think she likes it. What a little pose.

Skilled.

The girls weren't happy with their seating arrangements so they brought chairs in from the deck and set themselves up to watch The Little Mermaid. They just make me laugh.

Notice how the arm rest of the chair is the perfect spot for a drink. I'm so proud. By the way, Abby is in love with Snow White and dressed like her all weekend.

Fire Pit and Smores

When we went to the cabin this weekend, we realized that there was something missing....a fire pit! So, we spent all day building a great fire pit and we got to make smore's that night when we were exhausted.

The girls helped us build it and Abby was so proud of our accomplishment.

Having fun roasting marshmallows.

Lissie loves her smores. Of course, anything sweet and chocolate.

Mmmm smores.

First Day Of School...Orientation Day

My girls are getting so big. They both had their orientation day at school today. Basically that means they have their first day of school but we get to stay with them during class. Its a great way for the kiddos to get comfortable and for mommy to get an idea of what goes on each day.

Can you believe how grown up Lissie looks?!?!?!

Abby was a little camera-shy today.

Sisters

My beautiful Abby Grace.

My beautiful Lissie Hope.

Here are the girls just outside their school. Lissie's playground is just to the left of the picture. I love the tranquil setting of farmland surrounding their school.

I got to join Lissie in her class for storytime and coloring. We made a cute nametag, put a sticker on her cubbie and answered a little questionaire all about Lissie. It was lots of fun.

Lissie liked the little kitchen area where she made cupcakes and the "library" best. It was so great to see her enjoying school.

Daddy spent most of his time with Abby and of course, I had the camera. He got to do most of the same activities with her and occasionally we switched so that we could both get a feel for each of the girls classes and teachers. It was a busy morning but a very fun one.

County Fair

The day after the parade we got to go to the fair with Granny and Papa. The girls loved riding all the rides but the highlight was the rodeo...not Mommy's favorite.

County Parade

For the first time in 10 years living in here we finally made it to the annual parade. It helps to have Granny and Auntie Barbie and Porter to go with us.

It was wonderful and we all had a great time. Abby was a little scared of all the noise but enjoyed it regardless.

Lissie and Porter loved it because lots of the floats threw candy at all the kids!

Aren't Barbie and Porter so cute?

Lissie's First Haircut

At almost 3 years old, we finally took Lissie to get her first haircut. Its part of the tradition of getting all pretty before our first day of school. Both girls get haircuts and then we do manicures and pedicures at home to look pretty for the big day.

Miss Lisa cut Lissie's hair.

She was so good and followed all the directions Miss Lisa gave her.

Checking herself out in the mirror.

The final result. What a beautiful princess!!!

Indoor Camping aka Roughing it

Tonight we decided that we would do a little camping. We made s'mores over the gas stovetop and Mike even set up a type of tent in the family room. We watched a movie together and then we all slept under the tent. I use the term slept lightly...the girls slept great. I was up every half hour trying to get comfortable. I DO NOT CAMP!!!

Look at that cute messy face.

Even Abby got messy and didn't mind.

The girls loved their makeshift tent. They do look cozy.
