Prelude to a Hissy Fit!!!

The picture below is one taken just before one of the worst erruptions Mt. Lissie has ever had. It started because she wanted her baby blanket that I'd forgotten and then continued when I wouldn't let her take her patch off. Long story short, we skipped the zoo, I got bitten and she fell asleep after 45 minutes of screaming and crying! I will never ever forget baby blankie again!!!

Abby was just happy I had the camera out. "Picture please Mommy!"

My Girly Girl

I think she's wearing every piece of jewelry she has access to. Also, please note the cell phone. We can't go anywhere without it!

THANK YOU!!

Granny and Papa bought the girls an amazing present the other day...a playhouse! The girls absolutely love it. We put it in the basement and at least twice a day the girls beg to go down and play in it. They love to make dinner and put their babies to bed in it. I can see many years of playhouse and secret clubhouse fun in the future. Thank you Granny and Papa.
PS - Thank you Daddy for putting it together. Over 124 bolts!

Where a kid can be a kid.........

Yep, we went to Chuck E. Cheeses! This was very stressful for me as I have a hard time getting past the potential germfest but the girls had a blast!!! We went early in the morning on a weekday so we pretty much had the place to ourselves.

Abby's favorite ride was this Hickory Dickory Dock Clock. She went on it at least 10 times!

Lissie's favorite was the horsie. She was adorable because she kept trying to push the horse to go faster! A girl after my own heart.

Both girls got to go in the above ground tunnels. This was Lissie's very first time being able to get all the way up to the top.

We had a wonderful time and the girls even got to pick out some little prizes, bracelets and fake spiders, thanks to Daddy playing all of the video games!

Back at the Zoo

I'm not sure we'll ever get tired of the zoo. Its so much fun to get out and see the animals and, of course, ride the train and carousel.

Abby and her friend Eli now get to ride by themselves!

Karen and her pretty little Maddie.

.

Mommy and Lissie. I remember when I used to ride with her in a baby carrier!

Sunny Days

The girls decided that they wanted to play on the deck this morning. It was so warm and sunny that I had to put sunscreen on them!!!

Sisters. I love that they enjoy playing together.

Here are the girls eating dinner and feeding their babies . They really get along well...most of the time :)

Snowy Afternoon

We had a lazy day after all the snow stopped so Lissie and I decided to take a little nap together.

After waking up from her nap, Mt. Lissie errupted over having to put her pretties (glasses) on. This picture was taken after I finally got her to calm down. It took about half an hour of extreme screaming! My girl is definitely determined!

We decided since there was still snow on the ground and the weather was nice that we would take the girls sledding again.

Look at Lissie's little mohawk.

My Abby is just too beautiful.

The sledding wasn't that great since the snow was so wet. We only got in about 3 runs before it turned to mud. While we were there, Abby made friends with a very precocious little boy.

Here is our snowman the day after we made him. He's already lost his head and the body is disappearing quickly!

Definitely a typical spring storm. We got almost two feet of snow and it was pretty much gone the next day.

Another Big Storm!

While Mike and I were shoveling the 23 inches that fell on our driveway, the girls were playing in the snow. All of a sudden, I look into the garage and see all of the girls snow gear on the floor. Where are they?

Playing in Daddy's car. I guess they got too cold and decided playing while it was still snowing wasn't that much fun!

I love Lissie's spiky hair.

A new fun snowtime tradition is watching Elmo's Pets in Mommy and Daddy's bed while eating popcorn.

Building a Snowman

Sadly this is the very first snowman I can recall making and I'm over 30! We had a lot of fun with this even though it was cold and still snowing on us. Both girls helped roll the snow and pat it into shape. It was a blast!!!

Easter Afternoon

After a so so nap, we went over to Granny and Papa's house for Easter part two. As soon as we arrived there was a hunt for eggs. Every time Lissie found one, she opened it and started eating. She LOVES her chocolate!

Abby had figured out the egg hunt thing in the morning at Gigi's so she was in top form once we got to Granny's. She found the eggs faster than I could keep up with her!

Just look at her go after those eggs!

Papa and his girls. Abby says the reason we go to Granny and Papa's house is for wine and chips!

Mike worked all of Easter weekend but was able to make it for dinner at Granny and Papa's. Once he got there the girls got to go on a scavenger hunt. It was the most brilliant idea. They had put pictures into envelopes showing where the next envelope was finally ending in the powder room with their Easter baskets. I have to say Abby had so much fun that by the time she found the basket, she was disappointed that there wasn't another clue!

Here is Abby and her treasure!

Lissie loved the book.

Finally after a fabulous dinner (Mom went all out), we had dessert. The girls each got their own bunny cake. They loved them.

The adults got a Grand Slam Finale.

The disaster created by the girls. Granny will be picking up Easter grass all summer.

Lissie ended the evening in the kitchen on the floor with her cake. She pulled it down off the counter to continue eating it!

Easter Breakfast

We celebrated Easter all day this year. First we went to Gigi and Grandpa Mike's for breakfast. The girls got to wear their cute outfits although it was freezing out.

A rare group shot.

Gigi's closest friend Ellen and Mike's friend Gary were there to celebrate as well. Ellen gave each of the girls an adorable little stuffed animal. They immediately laid down and snuggled with them. Thank you Ellen!

After a fun Easter egg hunt, Ellen and Gary had prepared a great breakfast. It was a great beginning to a wonderful day.

Lissie and her basket. She LOVED the chicken!

It took Abby a little while to get the hang of the hunt but once she did, she loved it!

Lissie ate so much chocolate that she left remnants all over Gigi's house! (there are smudges all of the bathroom door and molding)

I feel a little bad about this picture. Since I'm the only one that would drink a Diet Coke in the morning, I happened to find out that the fridge in the basement was broken. Worse was that Mike had been keeping elk meat in there that had now all gone bad. So, instead of enjoying breakfast and time with the girls, Mike and Gary had to clean out the fridge.
