Routines

We have several routines lately that are just too cute not to tell everyone about.

The first is our morning routine. When the girls wake up in the morning, they come into our bedroom and hop into bed with us. They drink milk and watch their favorite tv show, Super Why. The reason it is so cute is that in the beginning it is a rather interactive show and they talk and yell and participate with the best of them. I have video but I'll spare you. The other reason I love it is because it is a show that teaches children about their letters and reading. I'm convinced this is why Abby knows her letters so well.

The second little routine is one of Mike's favorites. Everynight after a shower, Lissie always asks Daddy for a too-tip (Q-tip). She also gets one for Abby and when she takes it to her, Abby always, without fail, asks "Is this the Abby one?" They then both clean their ears like big girls and then Abby hands Lissie her q-tip for her to fwo way (throw away).

Finally, Lissie's bedtime routine is the BEST! She goes to bed first and after both girls brush their teeth we go into Lissie's room to read a story. When the story is finished, they both climb into Lissie's bed and we sing "Jesus Loves Me." After that, Abby prays for Lissie thanking God for everything she can think of that happened that day ending with "please watch while Lissie sleeps, Amen." I just melt! Then Daddy and Mommy say goodnight and Abby shoos us out of the room. She then turns off Lissie's light and and asks Lissie to "say goodnight Abby." Finally she closes the door and turns on the fan outside Lissie's room. I really love this little display of sisterly love. I never want to forget these sweet moments.
