So yesterday was a rather rough day. Abby had a pretty high fever and was out of commission most of the day. Lissie was fine although both of them were on different schedules so you can imagine my day. Anyhow, after one of her naps, Abby was feeling better so she was running around the house opening and closing doors. Finally she got to my bedroom door and decided to tease the dogs by opening and shutting it on them. After a little while though, the door stopped opening. Since we are in the middle of potty training, I assumed she was hiding so she could have an accident. I ran to the bedroom and when I got there, Abby had just started calling "Mommmmy." I tried to open the door and that's when I realized, she had locked it! Now as any good mother, I didn't panic. I knew we had a key for this kind of situation right above the door. So I reached up to get it and as I felt it, the key slipped. What? How does a key sitting on the molding of the door disappear? Well, it fell into the molding since our builder didn't put the molding flush against the wall. So, by now Abby is getting quite upset. I run around the house looking for another key (I really need to dust more). There is not another key to be found. Now what? Well, I'm an industrious girl so I think, I'll open it with the inside of a pen. That didn't work. OK , I guess now I'll have to just take off the door knob. I got the screwdriver and worked on the knob. Abby is now on the floor crying. I finally get the knob off and what do you know, the door still won't open so I call Mike for advice. Long story short (too late), I ended up breaking the door with the screwdriver. I got my little girl out, cleaned up her wet pants and we all went down for a nap. I did end up finding the other key....it was in my bedroom above my bathroom door. I have now relocated it to a drawer in the kitchen.

Great story. I could totaly see this playing out. My only question is, how did you break the door? I read all of that and you leave out the most interesting detail...sheesh!
