So Sweet!

Every night we put Abby and Lissie to bed in their own rooms.  They are instructed to go straight to sleep and not to talk to one another.  Lately, though, we find Lissie sleeping in Abby's bed.  I know I should put my foot down and stop this but I just love this little display of sisterly love.

Downtime

Lately the girls LOVE watching old videos of themselves.  We finally figured out a way to get them to all play at once so they can watch for a long long time!  PS-Don't you love Lissie's pigtails?

Since her 5th birthday Abby has been getting an allowance.  She gets 5 quarters and has to save 1, give 1 away and she gets to spend 3.  She finally saved up enough money to go shopping and she is absolutely in love with her first purchase, her purple toy cell phone!  Its just like Mommy's real one.

Prism Adaptation Test

In preparation for her next eye surgery Lissie had to have a Prism Adaptaion test.  What they do is have us dilate her eyes for 3 days straight and then they make a pair of very strong glasses for her to wear at the doctors office for an hour.  The desire is that her eyes will relax as much as they ever will so that the doctor can get the best measurement possible so as not to over or under correct the position of her eyes.

Look at my little girl.  She's gotten so big since we first started coming here when she was only 16 months old!  I used to have to sit with her and she would always bring "baby."  Now she's such a pro at this she can even tell the techs what they're supposed to do next!

Here she is in her new special glasses and yes I let her wear her pjs to the doctor because I think if you're going to torture your child for awhile, they might as well get to wear whatever they want!

We also gave her plenty of snacks and her favorite "lollilops."

 

Lissie did brilliantly and the doctor was able to get all the measurements she needed.  I'm so incredibly proud of my very brave little girl.  She does everything we ask of her with little fuss and even though she's terrified of another surgery she'll put on her brave face and get through it.  She's so great it breaks my heart.

Weekend at the Cabin

This weekend we got to go up to the Cabin with Gigi and Grandpa Mike.  As usual, our time there consists of lots of eating, crafts, hiking and just relaxing.  It was wonderful.

Off to see the boys lookout.  We were also hunting for the trail of two foxes we saw running around this morning.

Lissie and I got cold so we went inside.  Abby and Daddy decided to play slide Abby across the icy driveway.  She had a blast!

 

Rollerskating Take 2

The girls had so much fun skating last week that they wanted to take Daddy to watch them today.

Lissie was a little lost without Maddie but she did really well.

 

Pretty soon we'll have some great skaters on our hands.

Sledding

It snowed last night and the girls got a snow day so we decided to take advantage and go sledding.  We're very fortunate that there is a little hill right outside our front door.  Its the perfect size for the girls.

Bubble Bath

The girls got bubble bath for Christmas and honestly I don't think there is anything cuter than my babies in bubbles!

They had so much fun.  The giggles and funny hairdos were awesome!
