Still a Rookie Mom....

After four years plus of parenting and having more than one child I would have thought that I would no longer be making "rookie" mistakes. Well, I was soooooo wrong. I made the HUGE mistake of letting both of my girls cut paper without constant supervision and below is what happened!

Lissie got her first haircut courtesy of Abby!!! Fortunately, you can't tell when her hair is in pigtails which is her new permanent look!
I was so upset I almost cried. I know, thats silly. Poor Abby felt so bad that she offered to clean the bathtub to make it up to me:)

Only Two...

And already more proficient with the computer than her mother was in college!!!

Its really amazing to watch Lissie on her little computer. She uses her stylus with ease and can maneuver the mouse with no problem. She draws pictures and "reads" stories and is even learning to write her letters with it. She's so grown up already!

Girly Girls

When I was in college, I had a roommate that wouldn't even go to the grocery store at midnight without first fixing her hair and putting on her make-up. I am NOT that girl. In fact, the idea that the Lord thought that I should raise girls rather than boys has always suprised me. They push me outside of my comfort zone on a daily basis but never more so than during their girly girl moments like the one we had today. We did make-up and nails today and we all had a blast!
Here is Abby putting on her lipstick.

I let them paint their own nails and Lissie seems to prefer painting her toes, not her nails!

She also prefers that the lipstick goes on her fingers rather than her lips.

Thank goodness for children's make-up, it all comes off in the bath!!!
