Pancakes and Eggs

Last year our church gave up on doing an Easter egg hunt in favor of Pancakes and Eggs. We eat pancakes and afterwards the kiddos get to dye eggs. It was such a success that they did it again this year. Good thing too as it was freezing cold that morning!

The whole family came to celebrate with us. Unfortunately, I didn't think to get a group photo so this is the best I have.

The breakfast was yummy as usual. Daddy especially liked the sausages. He went back 3 times!!

After breakfast it was time to dye some Easter eggs. All the grandparents assisted the girls in making their egg creations.

Sam and Joey even got in on the act. Some of their eggs were amazing.

Both Sam and Abby won a prize for their eggs! This was Sam's second year in a row.

A phase?

Lissie is in love with jackets. Every morning she demands a jacket to wear even over her PJs. On this particular day she chose her outfit complete with the only jacket we had left. It is too small and if you enlarge the photo you will see it clashes terribly with her brown and pink pants! She is insistant though and with a face like that, how could I deny her anything?

Afternoon Fun and Naughtiness.......

After naps, the girls love to snuggle or "nuggle" as Lissie calls it in our bed. Abby loves to be big and read Daddy's Jeep magazine.

After awhile, they got bored and decided to play in the shower. They also decided that they needed soap so Abby got the handsoap from my counter and proceeded to wash her and Lissie's hair.

They both had a blast until it was time to rinse it out. Real soap stings!!!

We caved...

Well, we did it. We finally got a Wii. The girls absolutely love it not to mention Mike! The favorite is boxing. I must admit I feel a tad guilty getting my girls all riled up and violent but its a great game and really gets the blood flowing!

Abby kicks all of our butts. She's really good at it.

Lissie got into the spirit with the terry cloth headband! We bought it as a joke for a dodgeball party we went to.

Naked Baby

Lately Lissie has enjoyed being naked. Unfortunately, she has also figured out how to undress herself!! My first thought was alright, lets get her on the potty. Now I'm beginning to wish she would just stay dressed. The cutest though is how anytime she is undressed she says "naked baby." It is too adorable.
