Weekend at the Cabin

This weekend we got to go up to the Cabin with Gigi and Grandpa Mike.  As usual, our time there consists of lots of eating, crafts, hiking and just relaxing.  It was wonderful.

Off to see the boys lookout.  We were also hunting for the trail of two foxes we saw running around this morning.

Lissie and I got cold so we went inside.  Abby and Daddy decided to play slide Abby across the icy driveway.  She had a blast!

 

Rollerskating Take 2

The girls had so much fun skating last week that they wanted to take Daddy to watch them today.

Lissie was a little lost without Maddie but she did really well.

 

Pretty soon we'll have some great skaters on our hands.

Sledding

It snowed last night and the girls got a snow day so we decided to take advantage and go sledding.  We're very fortunate that there is a little hill right outside our front door.  Its the perfect size for the girls.

After awhile the girls decided that making snow angels would be more fun.

Bubble Bath

The girls got bubble bath for Christmas and honestly I don't think there is anything cuter than my babies in bubbles!

They had so much fun.  The giggles and funny hairdos were awesome!

Roller Skating!

Today we went roller skating for the very first time.  The girls had a blast and did really well.  Of course, it didn't hurt that we went with great friends.  Sorry all the shots are blurry but it was much more difficult than I thought it would be to photograph them.

Lissie LOVED skating with Maddie.  They both went the same speed.

Abby was a little faster but she did fall down more.  I think she really enjoyed herself though.

Toward the end of the lesson, the girls were skating together.  It was so cute to see them pulling each other down and picking each other back up again.

 

My Christmas Present

My Christmas present from Mike arrived today....brand new super warm boots.  My feet are always cold and these babies are rated to -30 degrees F.  Isn't my husband the best!?!?!

I think the girls had the most fun with them though!

It is such a priviledge to be the mom of sisters.  I can't tell you how much I love watching their relationship grow!

My Abby is becoming quite the little chef.  She looks through my cookbooks and then determines what we should have for dinner.  Of course, her favorite part is helping me cook.  She really loves to "paint" the chicken with the marinade.
